Media Convergence in Different Context

Synthesis

New technologies had led to the convergence of traditional and new media by creating a new way and opportunity for them further their reach of audience. Because of new technologies media companies were able to find ways to make their audience bigger, their content more accessible and easier to publish and for them to save money and resources.

Media convergence created new opportunities for interaction because before when you broadcast or print information/news there are no instant feedback and opinion regarding on the article etc. But through media convergence, there is an instant feedback and information from the audience, there can also be an interaction between both producers and consumers and interaction from a consumer about their opinion on the matter.

By using one or two forms of new media to share knowledge and information on a current issue in society you are able to reach far more audience/consumer than only using. For example, you post on Facebook but some people don't use Facebook and you post on twitter but some people don't use twitter but by posting on both Social Networking Sites you are able to cover all kinds of audience and supply them with the current issue. It also enables us to have instant feedback.

In the age of Media Convergence, everyone is in the public eye. One wrong action/decision/opinion and all of it will suddenly be plastered all over the internet. A person could be portrayed as anything from the devil to an angel, a judgment that was solely based on little information and that will be who you are on the internet. Especially since the Internet never forgets.
