DAY 1 - 11/7/17

In your opinion, what makes an individual literate in media and information? What activities/habits do you practice which illustrate media and information literacy? Give at least three examples. 

   What makes an individual literate in media and information is their ability to use it wisely, effectively and responsibly.  They should always be critical thinkers especially dealing with the information they get through media platforms especially with false news. They should be able to use the information they receive in order to improve and develop themselves and the society. They should always have proper attitude and behavior while interacting with people and information. They should not instigate the circulation of false information, bullying, oppression, hate, etc. through media. They should use their freedom responsibly.

  Example of activities/ habits I do that illustrates my literacy in media and information: Before sharing news and information, I check its credibility and see if the facts are true. So that I won't share false news and information. I responsibly and maturely use my freedom of speech, especially on social media. I do not post/comment statements that may cause negative effect towards other people. I only use the information I get from media in order to be knowledgeable and to improve and develop myself.
